If you are going to go to a show and would like to record for the Simple Discourse Recording Community, E-mail me at simplediscourse@mchsi.com  and include the date and location of the show you would like to sign up for.  In order to have a set of microphones and recorder sent to you, you must have made a donation of at least $10 to the fund.  This will be to help pay for expenses such as shipping and minidiscs, as well as helping to fund additional sets of recording equipment.

One thing everyone must also know is that security at these venues can never confiscate the equipment.  They are legally forbidden to do so.  At most, they can make you leave the concert.  This probably won't happen because the microphones will be next to impossible to spot inside the club by security, but it's just a fact that everyone needs to know.  It is illegal for them to threaten to or try to take the equipment from you and they know this as well as any of us.  Also, if they find the equipment that you're bringing in to the show and decide you can't take it in, all they can do is tell you to take it back to your car and allow you back in without the equipment.  They cannot deny your entry if you have not actually passed the point of ticket exchange with the equipment.
